Dreaming of Rio for the Billabong Pro!

Yes, it’s true – we’re severely jealous of anyone who gets to pop over to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil to get involved with the Billabong Pro! With those white sands and incredible coastlines, South American food and incredible culture, why wouldn’t we envy them?

New Brand Love: Stylestalker

Sydney duo Sue-Ann San and Rachel Zeilic are the brains behind Australian label Stylestalker which has just landed at SurfStitch! The label was born when the two best friends joined together with the creative vision to create aesthetically pleasing, yet easily wearable attire. Through this vision Stylestalker has created a cult following worldwide with the likes of Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Olivia Palmero and Jessica Alba all being self-confessed fans. Their cutting edge yet wearable designs are what set them apart in the tough industry with the mix of delicate yet bold shapes and distinct patterns.

The pair like to find inspiration in anything possible with their latest AW collection titled Replicant being inspired by the 1982 cult film Blade Runner. The sci-fi influences are evident in the collection which is made up of lazer cut shirts, lace dresses, assymetrical skirts and shearling lined jackets. With a base colour pallet that doesn’t stray far from the neutrals mixing black, grey and whites, hot pink and deep violet manages to burst through the organic silhouettes. The new Billabong Autumn/Winter Campaign, (Made for Living) features Billabong team riders Creed McTaggart and Jack Freestone, with model Zippora Seven. The photography is reminiscent of long winter road trips, bonfires, and the associated feeling of freedom, which is essentially what Made for Living represents.

Back In Black.

SurfStitch brand Lee contracted LA skater, filmaker and photographer Mike Piscitelli to shoot their AW 13 wear. And so, with the help of models Cole Mohr and Cora Keegan the following tale of late night rock and roll and anarchy was created all covered in tattoo’s, glitter, torn fabric and of course, the colour black.
